If you asked people to identify one thing as quintessentially Oahu, most people would immediately say Waikiki Beach. It’s by far one of the most developed and busiest beaches I’ve ever seen. Ironically enough, this beach didn’t even exist a century ago. In the 1960s, a businessmen decided to dredge a swamp area which then led to the creation if Waikiki. It wasn’t really my kind of beach but if we were going to experience Oahu we couldn’t skip out on this landmark.
