It's been an eventful week since I last posted. Thank god for pictures to help fill in the blanks. From the bleak drive home from work in the fog and rain last Thursday morning, i wouldn't have guessed that i'd have ended up having the really good day and night i ended up having. Maldonado set up lunch at Hooters with several of the guys from work which was made even better by our bubbly waitress Whatsherface, and when that bubbly Hooter's girl just so happened to be getting off at the same time we were leaving and asks "Where's the party at?" in the minds of 5 guys sitting at the table that translates to "I really want to party with you guys... You guys are cool", but what it really meant was more like "I'm off now and i want a shot but I don't want to pay for it so who's gonna buy it for me?" cuz that's exactly how it went down. We walked across the parking lot to Izzy's and our lovely new friend spent all of about 5 minutes with us. Just enough time to order her shot and power walk out the door while one of the guy's wallets got just a little bit lighter (not mine). Chicks, man. No matter, we all had a good time there and afterward I met up with Hector at Politics had a few, and then invited my sweet friend Jessica to join us over at Jack Ash's. Woke up on Friday just wanting to kick back. And I did. Got my new camera in the mail (Suhweeeeet). I'm pretty sure I'm addicted. There's something about digital photography that I can't get enough of. When you get a new toy it's easy to turn your chill Friday day and night into a fun one.After yesterday's festivities I think i'll kick back tonight.. @ The Matrix instagr.am/p/S9JBRSnN5x/

The weekend came and went. Is it just me or has time really been flying by? Seriously. I'm pretty sure there were only 5 days in the week last week. Saturday at the station was fun. One of the calls we made was a call to the mall where we got to ladder the building and get up on the roof. One of the vents in one of the stores was shooting out smoke so we had to access the roof and the A/C units to shut the problem one down. Playing on the big red ladder truck is always a good time. Sunday was another successful football Funday. (Note to self: go back in time and high five the dude who invented DirecTV Sunday Ticket). My cowboys won on a last second field goal over the Bengals, then I met up with Maldonado at OTB for appetizers followed by Politics for drinks. 
After all this going out I deserved to sleep in on Monday. Woke up at the crack of noon and my serene morning lasted about 45 minutes until I heard my phone go off. "B&J;'s for lunch" the text read. Any excuse to go see Marhonda the register girl (a.k.a. Future Mrs. Cantu) is a good one. When i got their Bruce was at the bar drinking out of his bad ass authentic stein that he got all the way from.... Disneyworld. It is a pretty bad ass stein though. I sit down with my cherry coke. "Reeeeallly?.." he says to me. "Detoxing, dude. I'm detoxing." Hanging out at B&J;'s with the staff around the bar can easily turn into a day-long affair, but in a really fun way. Audy, Joseph, Hailey are always a good time and in the middle of all the conversation Brucey Bruce decided he was having steaks at his house for dinner along with another viewing of The Dark Knight Rises and invited everyone. (Note to self: When the question is steak w/Dark Knight Rises the answer is Yes). Had a great time as usual. Best steak ive ever had... again. Got to the station today and its been another day in paradise. Another cold day in paradise actually. And it's supposed to be 34 degrees in the morning. The cold weather usually brings fire. Here's to hoping we have a good night.
