What's Your Kind of Bridesmaid Dress?

Posted on the 10 October 2015 by Katherine Anne Cutar @katherineannika
Since I was a kid, I've always wanted to wear pretty dresses like the ones I see in weddings.
The first time I became a flower girl was at the age of 5, during my uncle's wedding.
I can still remember the white dress I wore, with a mint-green strap around my waist.
Around my head was a pretty white flower headband and I was bringing with me a mini basket
full of rose petals. It was really magical. It felt really princess-like. Then when my parents
got married, I became one of the bridesmaid. No, I was not the maid of honor because I was still
too young at the time. I wore a shiny floor-length sky blue dress with a pink strap. By then, it still felt magical and princess-like, but more intense (and it was my parents' wedding so there's that haha!).
In every other wedding, prom night, or just a simple party with your friends, there will always be that dilemma of choosing which dress best fits you and your style.
Now, let's talk about bridesmaid dresses from Promtimes.co.uk, one of world's leading
online retailers, operating throughout the United States and Europe. I know each of us, girls,
are really eyeing our favorite designs and styles for our bridesmaid dresses. Well, these styles are (most of the time) decided by the bride or the both the bride and the groom. So, if you're a soon-to-be-wedded couple, take a read of these bridesmaid dress styles
 that you can choose from.
STRAPLESS

Perfect for petite/thin bridesmaids, a strapless dress emphasizes the collar and shoulder bones for a mature and appealing feel.
BACKLESS

Backless dresses during weddings are already a thing. If your bridesmaids are already old enough to wear this kind of dress, then go for it, as it actually shows more skin and is kind of sensual.
STRAPS

Different from backless dresses, straps look simple and girly. They're best for your teenaged bridesmaids. If you are looking for this kind of dress, I recommend it to be in chiffon to give it a flowy vibe just like in the example pictures above.
BUCKLE WAIST

As the name suggests, buckle waist is a dress with straps around the waist to basically emphasize the waistline. It seems really princess-like and girly and is best for every type of bridesmaid.
This is honestly my favorite style of a bridesmaid dress.
ONE SHOULDER

I haven't noticed one shoulder dresses during weddings that much, but that doesn't mean we're counting it out. Shoulder strapped dresses can be designed with not just simple lace straps but can also be ornamented with pretty aligning flowers or beads to form a one shoulder strap.
Isn't that beautiful? Of course it is!
SLEEVES

Talk about old school, sleeved bridesmaid dresses would make your bridesmaids look innocent and sweet, recommended for conservative couples.
HALTER

Halters may not seem very familiar, but it is actually really attractive as it leaves a dramatic feel especially when it's styled as backless. Halters can be tie-knot or just a one-way attachment around the neck. Tie-knots would absolutely look charming when tied like a cute ribbon under your bridesmaids' perfectly styled bun.

With all these beautiful styles of bridesmaid dresses, you are of course not limited to just one of the above mentioned. You can actually mix the styles for your bridesmaids. Not to mention, the bridesmaid dresses that we wore during my parents' wedding were not of the same of style.
Mine was actually a strapless, while the others got a one shoulder and straps. Having these styles combined would make your bridesmaids look more striking and attractive. You can at least try experimenting between these styles if you want a more inviting approach. But if you're a minimalist kind of person and would love to just stay with the basics, then go for it. But that doesn't mean it'll be uninteresting anymore. Having pretty bridesmaids dressed in dainty and charming dresses of your choice is already amusing.
Now that you already know about the kinds and styles of bridesmaid dresses, you can actually buy them on cheap price range over at Promtimes.co.uk.
